Securing Canada’s Future: Jobs, Energy, and Sovereignty Matter
Canada’s energy sector is under attack, and the Carney Liberals are standing in the way of Canadian workers, Canadian jobs, and Canadian sovereignty. The likely end of American sanctions on Nicolas Maduro’s Venezuela threatens to displace Canadian oil exports to our biggest customer, yet the Liberals continue to block the pipelines and policies that would secure Canada’s energy future.
Canada urgently needs a pipeline to the Pacific Coast so that our oil can reach new markets, create jobs, and protect our sovereignty. Instead of taking decisive action, Mark Carney refuses to clearly support this critical project. His Memorandum of Understanding with Alberta does nothing more than refer the project to a new federal office for consideration, creating years of delay, bureaucracy, and uncertainty. Canadians do not need meetings, memorandums, or signing ceremonies. They need a green light for a pipeline now.
The Carney Liberals are not just failing to act, they are actively punishing Canadians. Weeks after pretending to ease restrictions on oil and gas production, Carney’s keep-it-in-the-ground caucus announced new methane regulations projected to cost families 14 billion dollars, roughly 830 dollars per household. This is exactly what Canadians have come to expect from the Liberals: promises to one group, punishments for another, and a government that puts ideology ahead of people.
Canada’s Conservatives have a plan to restore growth, jobs, and self-reliance. The Canadian Sovereignty Act would repeal the growth-blocking laws, end the industrial carbon tax, scrap the oil and gas cap, eliminate the electric vehicle mandate, lift the plastics ban, and incentivize reinvestment in Canada by removing capital gains taxes on money reinvested at home. Our sovereignty depends on the Carney Liberals getting out of the way of Canada’s workers, builders, and investors so that Canada can move again.
We will continue to fight for a Canada where energy, jobs, and opportunity are not dictated by bureaucrats in Ottawa or foreign competitors. Canada’s Conservatives stand ready to work with any party that is prepared to stop blocking progress and start building a stronger future for our country.
