Back-to-School Resources for Families

If you need help with back-to-school resources, please scroll to the bottom of this article.

After eight years of Justin Trudeau, Canadian parents can’t seem to catch a break. The long arm of Justin Trudeau’s inflation crisis has affected every area of life – including back-to-school essentials.

Stationary prices are up 49%. Reading material is up 32%. Food inflation is making it more expensive to fill a lunchbox – staples like bread, crackers and milk are all more expensive than they were last year.

Across the country, prices are up, and parents are feeling the pressure. Some are cancelling their kids’ extracurriculars to make ends meet. Others are going into debt to make sure their children have the back-to-school essentials. Charities that help families secure school supplies are seeing demand skyrocket.

After eight years of Justin Trudeau, everything is broken – even back-to-school shopping. Liberal policies have fueled inflation, bidding up the cost of the goods we buy and the interest we pay. Life costs more for the Canadians who can afford it the least.

This isn’t the way it’s supposed to be. That’s why Canada’s Common-Sense Conservatives and our Leader, Pierre Poilievre, are fighting to bring home lower prices for Canadians. We will cap costs and stop wasteful government spending to bring down inflation. We will cancel Trudeau’s tax increases so that moms and dads can afford to buy food and give their kids the tools they need to grow and learn.

It’s just common sense! So, let’s bring it home.
